Welcome to the studio!

The Blog at Studio Chaka began as a place to collect and connect my observations from nature and turn them into something creative - patterns, journals, printable pages, and pieces of everyday inspiration.

I am inspired by what I see on my adventures with my husband- river glass, fossils, and shapes and textures in nature. These inspirations lead me in multiple directions. River rocks may inspire a pattern to use on fabric, or a cool fossil may bring to life a new page for my fossil coloring book. A flower in my backyard may become a new sticker design. Nature inspires in so many ways!
